'80s Masters Of Music | 1927 '...ish' (1988)

This little gem of an album made some pretty huge-ass waves in the late 1980s. 1927 was one of those bands that defined an era of Aussie pop/rock.

...ish was the album we couldn't help but fall in love with, even if we had no idea what ...ish actually meant, or why they called themselves 1927.

You have to keep in mind that these were the days before Google. Any background info on our pop idols that didn't come straight from the pages of Smash Hits magazine we quite simply just didn't give a shiitake mushroom about. And you know what? I still don't.

It's all about the music here - even after all of these years. Songs you can't help but sing along to; songs that you're never going to forget, even if you need a little nudge to remember them sometimes.

Consider this your nudge. Your ...ishy nudge. Nudging your ...ish. A nudge-tastic ...ishism.

These songs had real heart. So so so much heart. Alongside other fabtastic bands like Icehouse, Pseudo Echo and The Hoodoo Gurus (just to name a few), 1927 holds a well deserved place in the Aussie rock Hall Of Fame. Good onya fellas, bloody good on you.
